Sun Safety Tips

Broaden your horizons

Use a quality broad spectrum sunscreen with a maximum SPF30+ rating that is water resistant.

Prepare yourself

Apply your sunscreen on to dry skin 20 minutes prior to sun exposure.

Over and over

Reapply sunscreen every 2 to 3 hours. We also recommend reapplying during activities causing sweating, after swimming and toweling off.

Run for cover

Wear appropriate tight weaved or UV rated clothing as well as broad brimmed hats. Use shelter when possible.

See the light

Don't forget to protect your eyes. Use a good quality UV rated pair of sunglasses.

Remember the little bits

Sunscreen coverage is needed all over. Ears, neck, hands and feet are often forgotten. Lips too! Zincs and lipbalms with sunscreens will help protect your lips.

Plan your day

Consider that the most intense part of the day for sun exposure is between 10am and 3pm and check local UV warnings.

Make it a habit

Sunscreen is an Everyday, All Day, Anywhere necessity.
